Arrests/Citations


8/27 - Christopher Thompson, 23, 110 Byrd St., Clinton, possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance. Officers seized 7.9 grams of the substance after being called to assist by a Probation and Parole officer. Probation/Parole charges pending. No bond or court date were listed on police reports.


8/27 -Alvin Stevens Taylor, 38, 855 Pine Loop Lane, Autryville, driving while impaired. Bond $1,000; court date Oct. 10.


8/27 - Scott Eric Strickland, 44, 185 Odum Road, Garland, cyberstalking. Bond $2,500; court date Sept. 23.


8/27 - Dennis Fitzgerald Lowery, 50, 937 Wilson Road, Clinton, assault on a female. Bond $1,000; court date Sept. 5.


8/27 - Michael Tyrone Smith, 35, 6963 Old Fayetteville Road, Garland, failure to appear/child support. Bond $2,604; court date Sept. 20.


Incidents


8/27 - A Union Grove Church Road resident reported that someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked at his residence. Stolen included sunglasses, a pocket knife, a cell phone charger and medications. Total value of the property stolen was estimated at $64.


8/27 - A central heating and air unit was stolen from a home on Lakewood School Road near Salemburg. Value of the unit was estimated at $5,000.


8/27 - Another central heating and air unit, also valued at $5,000, was stolen from Laurel Lake Road near Salemburg.


8/27 - Assorted vitamins and medications were stolen during a break-in at a McLamb Road residence near Newton Grove. Entry was gained through a rear door. No damage was reported.


8/27 - A pressure washer valued at $300, six electric motors valued at $800 and a water pump valued at $200 were stolen from an outbuilding on Daughtry Town Road.


8/27 - A Wilmington resident reported that assorted jewelry valued at $400 was taken from a residence on Ingold Avenue in Garland
