SECU scholarship recipients named at Sprunt

KENANSVILLE — James Sprunt Community College students Keyarrah Coor and Chalitita Manley were presented State Employee Credit Union (SECU) scholarships Monday, Aug. 26 in the amount of $5,000 each by Kenny Barrett, senior Financial Services Officer with the Kenansville branch of the SECU. The scholarship covers a two-year time period.


Coor is in the General Education, College Transfer program and will graduate in May 2014. She resides in Goldsboro and is the daughter of Ricky N. and Katena Coor, administrative and academic computer systems assistant with James Sprunt Community College.


Manley is in the Early Childhood program and will graduate in May 2014. A recent newlywed, she and her husband Tyrone Bryant reside in Kenansville. She is the daughter of Rosa Chestnutt from Kenansville.
