The Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Center at Sampson Community College partner each year to offer many educational opportunities to Chamber and non-Chamber members. Together, our goal is to offer a wide variety of topics and times to the community to ensure there is something for everyone. I am excited about the fall seminars led by Martin Brossman and I encourage you to take a look at the upcoming seminars. Register online at www.clintonsampsonchamber.org or give us a call at 910-592-6177.
The Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce is a big supporter of “shop local” within Sampson County. We look for ways to educate the community and business owners on the importance of shopping local. I encourage you to check out a Lunch and Learn seminar on Oct. 23, “Shop Local- Buy Local: Invest local to gain more business.” Learn how to generate a dynamic Shop Local strategy to help your business, your town and your county. Because keeping more money in the local economy creates a foundation for real economic growth, it’s important to add the power of social media to rev up traditional local marketing efforts and build a higher level of enthusiasm for reaching current and future customers. This is where the New Media — on the air — connects with old-fashioned customer service on the ground to appeal to an ever-widening audience that is searching and making purchase decisions online.
The education opportunity continues that evening on Oct. 23 with “Marketing your business using Free Online Directories” When visitors are considering spending money in your town, they go first to their phones and tablets ̶ which draw from online directories ̶ to make their decision. Is your business ready to be found? You can get ready with these 3 information- packed hours delivering valuable tips and strategies for making the most of the online directories like Google Local that enable businesses to be found when shoppers are searching from their desktop or mobile devices.
The fall seminars continue on Nov. 6 with “Intro to Pinterest & Instagram for Small Business Owners.” This Lunch and Learn attendees will learn how to use Pinterest, the newest social media service, and Instagram to drive traffic to your business website, establish credibility, convey expertise and a sense of who you are as a business person, and develop a relationship with clients and partners.
Lastly, an evening seminar on November 6th to compliment the Lunch and Learn as attendees discover “Getting More Engagement & Results for your Small Business using Photography & Video.” Social Media is driven by pictures and video. This class is how to get more results in your social media with picture and video. We will cover the basics of low-cost photography to attract more customers with your social media and web marketing. Learn the techniques for being found on the Web by your photos and videos.
We are very excited about the upcoming seminars. I encourage you to visit the website at www.clintonsampsonchamber.org or give us a call, 910-592-6177, for more information.
