Matthew 8:25,26 says “And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.”
Saints of God I want to encourage you this week in letting you know that your words can calm your winds. I am talking about the winds of life that can come at you in many ways. Have you ever been dealing with something so overwhelming and all of a sudden something else pops up? You get this matter under control and another breaks out, it seems like problems or issues on every side.
Just as Jesus did, so can you, and I speak to the winds that are raging in our lives. Notice that the disciples did not try to take on these winds by themselves, they went to Jesus. Could it be that you are trying to fight your personal winds of life on your own? The disciples went to Jesus in spite of the fear that was crippling their faith. They were not ashamed.
Many people are “perishing” because they are trying to fight these issues and problems on their own. STOP trying to do this on your own, Jesus is alive and awake to your cry of distress. Run to him and his word so you will be able to speak to the winds in your life. God’s word can bring a great calm in your life, but you must open up your bible and read it. There is a word in the Bible for every kind of wind that life can throw at you.
There is a word for your winds of life, just open up your Bible, and seek God for that word/scripture and put that word to work, and see how it can calm you while in this storm
