Eagles swoop past Lady Leopards in 3 sets

The Lady Leopards fall to the Eagles in volleyball action at Rosewood on Tuesday, but not before pushing the Eagles to their limit.


The final score in the three games were 25-20, 25-21, and 25-21.


Lakewood’s Rashyda Parker dominated on defense with 12 kill shots, 8 blocks, 11 digs, 9 serves, and 1 assist.


Stats and other Lakewood teammates showed Anna Heinz with 6 serves, 30 digs, 1 kill shot, 2 aces, and 1 assist; Alyssa Horne, 3 kills, 1 ace, 5 serves, and 13 digs; Alana Jackson, 3 kills, 1 ace, 7 serves, and 3 digs; Kiara Rich, 2 aces, 6 serves, 2 blocks, and 2 digs; Bianca Boone, 2 kills, and 4 digs; Emily Lewis, 2 kills, 6 serves, and 11 assists; Daja King, 2 kills and 8 digs; Amanda Kook, 1 ace, 4 serves, and 5 assists.


The Leopards fall to 3rd in the Carolina Conference (9-4, 13-6) behind Princeton and Rosewood. The conference tournament begins next Monday.
