Lakewood achieved their first shut-out at Princeton, scoring 6-0 against the Bulldogs.

“I don’t know what impresses me more; that we’ve scored 15 goals in 2 days or that we played back-to-back and won both games,” Leopard head coach Jay Faircloth asserted. “We are finally playing soccer as a team, and it’s crunch time with just 2 games left.”

Lakewood jumped out first and scored 3 goals within the first 15 minutes of the game. By halftime the score was 0-4 and then the Leopards scored 2 more in the second half.

“Yesterday I thought the offense played phenomenal and tonight it was our defense that really stepped up,” Coach Faircloth added.

Scoring for Lakewood was Francis Flores with 1 goal; Jonathan Gonzales with 3 goals; Manny Viruet, 1 goal; and Sadi Zabala, 1 goal. Assists were by Flores, Zabal and 2 by Viruet.

Coach Faircloth also mentioned goalie Pate Holland, who had 8 saves on the night.

Monday is senior night for the Leopards and they will try to avenge an early season loss to the Wildcats. On Wednesday, Lakewood travels to Rosewood for a make-up game.
