Shelby S. Clifton, 73
WILLOW SPRING — Mrs. Shelby Stephenson Clifton, 73, of 3565 Sanders Road, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Copeland. Burial will follow in Banner Chapel Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Clifton was born July 25, 1940 in Johnston County to the late Hassie and Martha Gordon Stephenson. She enjoyed fishing at Surf City, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Clifton was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, B. J. Clifton; a son, Connie Mack Clifton, and a brother, Gordon Stephenson. She retired from the human resource department of Westinghouse and was a member of Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church.
Surviving are daughters and son-in-law, Andreia C. Bass of Willow Spring and Denise C. and Tommy Williams of Zebulon; twin sister and husband, Jackie and Jim Blevins of Salemburg; sister & husband, Charline and Robert Sutton of Smithfield; brother, Bob Stephenson of Louisiana; sister-in-law, Doreen Stephenson of Garner; grandchildren, Jennifer Lockwood, Kelli Williams, Robbie Parker, Kamdyn Bass, and Matthew Williams; and great-grandchildren, Kadynce Lockwood, Matthew Parker, and Bucky Lockwood. Also surviving are sisters-in-law and husbands, Delores Stephenson, Brenda and Ron Blanchard, and Becky and Rick Hileman; and brother-in-law and wife, Brad and Cindy Clifton.
Family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
