The Hobbton Middle Wildcat boys brought home a 41-16 win over the Union Spartans in Thursday’s middle school basketball action.

Hobbton Middle coach Jackson Temple said, “ We have more players stepping and contributing to an overall team effort. Both teams battled hard. Union has an athletic team; we were just able to out play them. Our steals on the press gave them a lot of trouble and we convert on most of them.”

The Wildcats had a terrific night on the boards. Jonathan Wright and Greg Jacobs combined for nearly 30 rebounds in the game.

Scoring for the Wildcats was balanced. Wright led the scoring with 16 points. Jason Scrivenor and Josh Blue had 5 points each; Omar Farrior had 7 points and Will Simmons had 2.

The Wildcats are now 2-0 and hosted Midway Middle on Monday.
