This weekend the Sampson Community Theatre will hold its final three performances of “It’s A Wonderful Life” on the big stage, and these three shows will end our 2013 season. You don’t want to miss this final show of the year because it has a cast of over 70 exceptional individuals singing and dancing, with superb acting and beautiful backdrops (thanks to Anne Wicke with help from Haley Parker and Emily Sprague). Thanks also to the numerous backstage and Green Room workers who helped change scenes, get the children in the cast in their costumes and see that they got on and off stage at the correct time. You will be impressed with Nathan Carter playing George Bailey as he pleads with God to let him live again after he had wished he had never been born. This is an inspiring show for everyone and we hope everyone has a chance to attend. Thanks to Jordan Shopping Plaza and Matthews Drugs and Gifts for their sponsorship of this wonderful show.
Kaitlyn Royal, the recently named “Outstanding Teen of Benson,” is collecting food for the Food Bank in Salemburg so we are asking everyone who comes to see “It’s A Wonderful Life” this weekend to please bring a can of food with you. Kaitlyn will have a box in the lobby that you can place your food can in and she will deliver it to the Food Bank when the show is over. Thank you to those who brought a can of food for supporting this worthy cause this past weekend and thanks to Kaitlyn for making this her major project.
2014 Patron Sponsor tickets are now available for a donation to the theater. These consist of two complimentary tickets to every show we produce in 2014. Contact any Board Member or sign up when you come to see “It’s A Wonderful Life” to obtain yours and be entertained all year. Thoughts Until Next Week:
• There is nothing sadder in this world than to awake Christmas morning and not be a child.
• The perfect Christmas tree?? All Christmas trees are perfect!
• Remember, if Christmas isn’t found in your heart, you won’t find it under a tree.
