Luke 18:28-29 says, “Then Peter said ‘Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.’ Then Jesus says, ‘Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or parents or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.’” In other words, everything that you and I have given up to follow Jesus, God says it’s going to be worth it. Oh that’s something to praise God for because I know that at some point on this Christian journey you’ve asked the question, “Is this life I’ve chosen with Jesus worth it?” God sees the sacrifices that you and I have made during these trying times of our faith. He is going to reward those that have kept the faith, during their trials and refused to compromise with the ways of this world. God is not going to let you and I go through all of these trials and tribulations, all of this persecution for living a Godly lifestyle, all of the pain and frustration that comes along with being a Christian, just for the sake of nothing. Every tear you’ve shed for Jesus sake is going to be worth it, every valley you had to endure for Jesus sake is going to be worth it, every setback you have gone through lately is going to be worth it, everything that you and I had to give up to be who we are in God is going to be worth it. I know things right now in your life seem to be out of control, and it seems like you can’t get a breakthrough or a blessing from God, but hang their man and woman of God, Jesus is working this out behind the scenes of your life. God knows all about what you and I are going through so he reminds us through this scripture that it’s going to be worth it so keep on keeping on in Jesus. Get ready, get ready, for your faithfulness to God, is about to be rewarded in a way that’s going to blow your mind.
