Clinton’s Lady Dark Horse soccer team traveled to Trask on Friday night for a Four County Conference match. Once again the Clinton team made quick work of an opponent with a 9-0 shutout of the home team.

Hannah Smith scored 3 goals, Alaina Capps netted 2 with Halla Gilpin, Lauryn Worley, Lillie Turlington and Nicole Spell each adding 1 goal. The win improves the Dark Horses record to 10-2-1 overall and 7-0 in the conference. The team gets only a short rest overnight before traveling to Wilson for the Brittany Invitational where they will face a 9-1 North Johnston team that should offer stiff competition for the Lady Dark Horses. “This is the type competition we will need to be ready for as we close out the season and prepare for the playoffs,” said Clinton coach Jeff Smith.
