The church’s Missionary Circle will be collecting canned foods and nonperishable items for local food banks. The food drive will be held through June 30. FMI, please contact Sis. The churches will hold a combined Easter Sunrise Service at Beaver Dam MBC beginning at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 20 followed by breakfast. The Pastor’s Aide of Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton will sponsor “An Evening with our First Ladies” Sunday, April 13, beginning at 4 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor McMillan and Burning Bush of Fayetteville.
Disciples of Christ

The church will celebrate its fifth anniversary beginning Saturday, April 12, at 6 p.m. A “Mr. & Ms. Christ Missionary” pageant will be held. The Spoken Word, music and the crowning of the next Mr. & Ms. Christ Missionary will be the highlight of the evening. Continuing Sunday, April 13, at 10 a.m., Pastor Clowney will bring the morning message. Dinner will be served following the morning service. This Sunday April 13, Bishop Lorenzo Neal Peterson, pastor of New Hope Freedom & Deliverance Cathedral of Raleigh and Louisburg will be bringing the word. First Baptist, Clinton
A barbecue and chicken fundraiser will be held for the Joe Butler Family on Friday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall, 408 College St., Clinton. Cost will be $8 per plate.
Ushers’ Anniversary will be celebrated Sunday, April 13 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Minister Moore of First Baptist Church, Kenansville, accompanied by his church family.
The center, U.S. 421 North Hanson Road, will hold its Easter musical, April 20. AME Zion Church
District will hold celebrate the Rev. Dr. A.D. Brown’s 37th ministerial anniversary along with holding a district scholarship program on Sunday, April 13, beginning at 4 p.m., at St. Thomas AME Zion Church in Roseboro. Speaker will be the Rev. H.A. Gregory Jr., presiding elder, Fayetteville District AME Zion Church. Music by the Goldsboro District Choir. Reception immediately following the service.
Church, located in Delway, will celebrate their adult choir’s anniversary Sunday, April 13 at 3:30 p.m. Many choirs on the program. The church, located at 4442 Bonnettsville Road, Clinton, will hold their 74th annual Men’s Day celebration Sunday, April 13, beginning at 10:45 a.m. Bishop Varnie N. Fullwood will bring the message accompanied by the MPMBC Men’s Day Choir.
The church, located at 3790 Faison Hwy., will hold a gospel sing to benefit Relay for Life on April 26. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the sing beginning at 6 p.m. On the program will be the Viewmasters, the New Bethel Singers and Sue Fann of the Dixie Travelers. Dessert and coffee will be served afterwards. All proceeds benefit the Relay for Life.

The New Church
A celebration of the church’s 14th anniversary will be held through April 13, 7 p.m. nightly. Tonight, Apostle Ron Spears of Faith and Power Ministry of Dunn; and Saturday, Bishop Michael Norris of First Love Ministry of Raleigh. The church will deviate from its normal schedule for Sunday services on April 20. An Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, followed by breakfast at 8 a.m. The Sunday school hour will begin at 9 a.m. followed by worship service at 10 a.m.
In observance of Passion Week, there will be daily gatherings remembering the events leading up to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. April 14-18, a message will be shared daily from noon until 1 p.m. corresponding with what happened in the life of Jesus on each day of this week in history. Since this will be lunch time for many during their work day, anyone is welcome to bring their lunch with them.
