Midway hosted Union on the soccer field Friday night for their Senior Night. The Midway seniors went out in style with a 6-1 win over the visiting Spartans.

A bright spot for the Spartans was sophomore Paola Sevilla’s 33rd goal of the season in just 17 games. The future seems bright for the Union star.

Midway dominated possession throughout the game, a vital part of their game plan. Union’s head coach Johnathan Taylor was pleased with his team’s performance despite the loss. “I can’t be anything but proud of these girls,” said Taylor. “They literally do anything I ask them to do in practice and have been a very coachable team. We really hope to get a wild-card spot in the playoffs, and we’ll know about that later this weekend,” finished Taylor.

Union finishes the regular season with an 8-9 record, while Midway boasts a 12-4 record, and also looks to be playoff bound.
