SCC holds BLET graduation

The Basic Law Enforcement Class of 2014 held its graduation at Sampson Community College on July 30.

The ceremony started with a welcome from the SCC division chair Darell Matthews followed by the singing of the National Anthem by SCC faculty member Bruce Creech.

Clinton Police Lt. Timmy King addressed the students and presented the cadets with their certificates.

Daniel Parker received a certificate for Highest Academic Achievement and Philip Jones received a certificate for Top Cop. An award for Best Instructor was given to Wayne Dinehart and an award for Most Knowledgeable Instructor was given to JJ Creech.

After the ceremony, the cadets were congratulated by many distinguished guests to include the SCC President Dr. Paul Hutchins, Dr. William Starling, Virginia Lucas, and Amy Noel.
