The Daughters of the American Revolution, Richard Clinton Chapter, hosted their annual ice cream social for the residents of Mary Gray Nursing Home and Southwood Nursing facility last month.
The residents enjoyed the ice cream donated by the Dairy Queen of Clinton. There was also a salute to veterans with an American flag given to each one of those veterans who were residents.
DAR members said “we are fortunate in this area to have a place like Mary Gran and Southwood for our loved ones who need rehabilitation and acute care. It was a pleasure to be able to give the ice cream social to the very deserving residents and the Richard Clinton Chapter will look forward to returning again next year.
