Two Midway schools participate in garden therapy

Fifth-grade students Samantha Tyndall and Ashley Williams, both in Mrs. Lana McLamb’s class at Midway Elementary School, are busy preparing a hanging basket. Marie Warren, president of the Just-A-Mere Garden Club, is assisting in this project.


Students in the Exceptional Children’s classes at Midway Middle School and Midway Elementary School planted hanging baskets, assisted by members from the Just-A-Mere Garden Club.

Students prepared their baskets and tended to them at school taking them home on Mother’s Day weekend.

Appreciation goes to Steve’s Plants for donating the plants and baskets for this garden therapy project.

A total of 23 students participated at the two schools
