Six dancers from To the Pointe Academy of Dance in Turkey will be dancing at Disney World in July. The dancers are dancing with a group entitled Dance the World, which invites dancers from all across America to come together and perform in both a parade in either Magic Kingdom or Epcot and a stage showcase. The dancers from To the Pointe Academy of Dance will be performing in the Epcot parade, and in a stage showcase at the World ShowPlace in Epcot.

Their week in Disney will start off with a three-hour long rehearsal with hundreds of dancers from across America. They will practice the parade routine which they were sent by DVD to learn all together as a unified group before they perform in the parade in July. In the showcase they will be performing a six minute and two second dance production entitled “The Pride Land” which was choreographed by studio director Alyssa Lee.

The dancers and their director are extremely excited for this wonderful opportunity offered to their studio in the small town of Turkey. Lee hopes to return to Disney in the future with this same program to share this opportunity with as many of her dancers as possible.
