MOUNT OLIVE — The University of Mount Olive is set to hold “An Evening of One Acts and Entertainments” on Monday, May 2, in the Hazel Waters Kornegay Assembly Hall at 7:30 p.m.

Under the direction of Dr. Franklin Gross, Dr. Gerry Seaton, Dr. Ivan Danchev, Mr. Lenard Moore, and Nurse JoAnne Morgan, 30 student performers will put on a show of one-acts, music, dance, and poetry.

The UMO drama club, La Belle Epoque, will direct student-written acts. There will also be two musical selections, two ballroom dance numbers, and two original poems read by UMO students.

“This event will be enormously entertaining. It will make us all laugh, but there will be several poignant moments in the program as well,” shared Gross, La Belle Epoque advisor. “Atendees will cherish this grand opportunity to see drama become the centerpiece between music, dance and poetry.”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Dr. Gross at (919)-658-7166 or at [email protected].
