Lucht serves as adjudicator for auditions


Dr. Richard Lucht, faculty emeritus from the piano faculty at East Carolina University in Greenville, served as adjudicator for the 2016 Guild auditions held May 7 here in Clinton.

Dr. Lucht is known nationally through workshops and seminars dealing with various aspect of pedagogical topics and his textbooks dealing with functional keyboard skills are currently used by universities as well as private piano teachers round the country. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, the Master of Music from Wichita State University, and the doctorate from Indiana University. Guild auditions are held around the world by the National Guild of Piano Teachers.

Nine local students from the studio of Mary Goodwin participated.
