Phoebe Howerton of Clinton recently achieved state honor in the North Carolina Music Association.
Her piano performance of “Tarantella Terrifique” by Hudelson at the state convention was one of the two pieces she was required to perform in the competition.
The state convention was held at the University of North Carolina Wilmington on April 30.
She is the daughter of Shawn and Amy Howerton.
