Davis earns Juris Doctor degree


Alicia M. Davis, daughter of Estherine King Davis and Richard M. Davis Jr. and granddaughter of the late Catherine and Harvey King, earned her Juris Doctor degree from the North Carolina Central University School of Law on May 14.

She was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, Phi Delta Phi, Law Students for Reproductive Justice, and The Dime Initiative. Additionally, she was Secretary of the NCCU Moot Court Board and Treasurer for the Intellectual Property Law Society.

Furthermore, Alicia won 2L Pro Bono Student of the year, the H.M. Michaux Service Award, and the NCCU Student Impact Award. During her time in law school, she provided more than 597 hours of pro bono legal work with the following organizations, including but not limited to: Southern Coalition for Social Justice, Legal Aid Ambassadors Program, Lawyers on the line, and Bull City Stand Down.
