Driving lessons


Gabriel Carrion, a Sampson Early College student, takes his turn on the DWI simulator earlier this week at Sampson Community College. The sim is used as a tool to deter student drinking by mimicking the impaired driving experience through the use of special goggles. ‘The students that try it out have fun because it’s really tough to maneuver the golf cart past the cones successfully’ says SCC Student Services representative Holly Brewington, ‘But at the same time, they all take it very seriously and the lessons learned with the sim may save someone’s life in the future.’
