A teenager who was linked to a home invasion in Clinton at the end of January has now been charged, even as Clinton Police investigators continue their search for three other suspects.

Osman Manuel Perdomo, 19, of 138 Mary Bryant Road, Teachey, has now been charged with first degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, as well as two counts each of robbery with dangerous weapon, larceny after breaking and entering and second degree kidnapping, according to Sampson County Detention Center records.

Perdomo is currently being held under $360,000 secured bond.

Clinton Police authorities took custody of Perdomo on Friday after he was handed off by a lieutenant with the Department of Public Safety. Perdomo was arrested in Greenville County, S.C., and held on a fugitive warrant until he was transported back to Clinton at the end of last week.

Perdomo was subsequently taken to the Sampson County Magistrate’s office and served an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Police Chief Jay Tilley said the charges against Perdomo stem from a robbery at a home on Kerr Street. He released information on the incident Monday.

On Jan. 29, four masked men forcibly entered the residence at 121-B Kerr St., with one of the suspects displaying a firearm during the burglary. Willy Ramirez Garcia, 31, and Julio Francisco Cifuentes, also 31, were home at the time. Both were tied up and assaulted, and several items from the residence were stolen, according to police reports.

Cifuentes was subsequently taken to Sampson Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released for injuries he received during the assault.

A follow-up investigation was conducted by the Clinton Police Department’s Neighborhood Improvement Team, and warrants obtained the next day, on Jan. 30, on Perdomo.
