It’s time once again for the Sampson Arts Council’s annual RUN 2 the ARTS 5K Color and Fun runs.

According to council members, this is not just any race, it’s a unique paint race that celebrates health, happiness and individuality. Runners should come prepared to be doused from head to toe with colored powder, regardless if you are trying to run your personal best, as a fun family outing, or with a team of friends.

The Color Run will begin at the Victor R. Small House and wind a colorful path through beautiful downtown Clinton. The fun run is open to all ages, walkers, runners and anybody willing to be a cheerleader along the way.

Normal running attire is acceptable, as the powder will wash out.

For those registered by Oct. 26, a Color Run t-shirt will be provided in the race packet. The start-line window will open at 8:30 a.m.

“Chunking paint at race participants and making people smile are fun, but it is also important to give back to the community,” Kara Donatelli, arts council director, said. “As a nonprofit organization, the Sampson Arts Council is excited to be presenting the R-U-N 2 the ARTS 5K Color Run and Fun Run to raise money to support the arts in our community.”

The annual 5K RUN 2 the ARTS color and fun run will be held in downtown Clinton on Nov. 4. Registration for this event is open.
