I know that this Thursday finds most of you still recovering from Hurricane Matthew. From all of us here at the Chamber, we would like to send our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones due to this storm, to the ones who have lost property, memories, food, and the list could go on and on. This is a time that Sampson County and really all of North Carolina need to stick together and work together to build our hometown back up.

From us here at the Chamber we would like to thank all of the emergency responders for all that you have done and are continuing to do to keep our citizens safe and out of harms way. We know that it cannot be easy and we are always grateful and appreciative of everything that you do not just today, but every day.

To the lineman, we could never thank you enough for the work that you have been doing over the past several days. We know that being at home with family was where you were wishing to be while you were out saving lives, and getting power restored. Again, thank you. Your work never ever goes unnoticed.

To all of the volunteers who have been working non-stop to make sure people are fed and have a stable roof over their heads, thank you! To the businesses and to the community that pulled together and gave out free meals and that helped in anyway you could, we thank you!!

I am truly blessed to be from such an amazing town and we are here ready to help rebuild after this devastation. For more information regarding the Chamber and how we can help you, feel free to call us at 910-592-6177 or email us at [email protected].
