Angela Martin of Hobbton High School was recently named a Teacher of the Month.

Angela Martin of Hobbton High School was recently honored as Sampson County Schools Teacher of the Month for September 2016.

“Teaching is a gift,” Martin said. “Every day I am grateful to not just work in a field I like, but work doing what I love.”

Twelve years ago, she began her education journey.

“I appreciate my job and the opportunity I receive every single day,” she said. “The ability to influence young minds, the potential to help your students and the work you create through collaborations with students is priceless.

Martin said her personal philosophy and style of teaching is simple —“Teach the student how to dream.”

“I teach lessons on a variety of theatre topics and 21st centur learning skills, but through my ability to motivate students, the enthusiasm I bring to my class, and the belief that my students can achieve anything, I give my students the gift of believing in themselves.”
