A teenager was arrested in connection with busting windows Thursday night at Union High School, according to Sampson County Sheriff’s authorities.

Trevon Antonio Wall, 18, of 993 Kader Merritt Road, Rose Hill, was charged with trespassing and criminal damage to property (vandalism). According to reports, the incident happened just before 9 p.m. Thursday. A suspect was reportedly trespassing and busted two large, double-pane windows with rocks, inflicting an estimated $2,000 in damage.

Wall was taken into custody a short time later near Union High School, located at 1189 Kader Merritt Road, Rose Hill.

“Deputies responded to a report of vandalism where a window was damaged by the suspect, who reportedly threw a rock at the window,” Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith stated. “Deputies located the suspect walking from the school and took him into custody and charged him without incident.”

Wall was placed under $4,000 bond for the charges and given a court date of June 6.
