A Clinton man has been charged with a felony offense involving a minor, following an investigation into “inappropriate materials,” Sampson County Sheriff’s authorities said.

On April 4, investigators with the Sheriff’s Office arrested Justin Blake Hunter, 22, of 308 Lorraine Road, Clinton, and charged him with sexual exploitation of a minor. He was given placed in the Sampson County Detention Center under $150,000 secured bond.

“The investigation was the result of a complaint received from a concerned party who discovered some inappropriate materials and reported it to authorities,” Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith stated. “An investigation was launched and probable cause was established to arrest Hunter.”

No other details were released and Smith said “no further information will be released” at this time. Hunter was scheduled to appear in court on Friday, the same day the charge was announced.
