Pastoral anniversaries, youth nights on tap

On Wednesday, July 26-27, at 6 p.m., Vacation Bible School is being held at Holy Tabernacle UHC, Roseboro. Refreshments will be served.

On Wednesday, July 26-27, at 7:30 p.m., Pre-Pastor Anniversary Revival is being held at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. The guest revivalist will be Dr. Evelena Oliver and congregation of St. Jude Disciples of Christ Church, Warsaw.

On Wednesday, July 26-28, at 7:30 p.m. (nightly), the Annual Joshua Generation Youth Conference is being held at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton.

On Wednesday, Youth Rally Night will be held with gifts and talents from our community. On Thursday and Friday, the word of God will be preached. FMI call 910-564-6630.

Western Union Missionary Baptist (WUMBA) Tri-Union will be held on Friday July 28-29 at Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton. Friday, July 28, at 7 p.m. is Youth Night. Saturday, July 29, at 10 a.m. is Minister, Deacon and Missionary. Holy Tabernacle UHC, Roseboro, will not have service on July 29, but will be at St. James UHC, Fayetteville, for their District Union.

On Saturday, July 29, at 12 a.m. St. Stephen Holiness Church, Turkey, would like for all the members to attend this important church meeting.

On Sunday, July 30, homecoming will be observed at New Light AME Zion Church, Salemburg. Service begins at 11 a.m. The pastor for the hour is the Rev. Harry Hines from St. Thomas AME Zion Church, Roseboro, and congregation. The pastor is Rev. Andrea Bell. Dinner will be served. Everyone is invited to come help us celebrate Christ.

On Sunday, July 30, at 8 a.m. Brown’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will have early morning service. Pastor Jeffery White will bring forth the message and music will be rendered by the combine choir.

On Sunday, July 30, at 11 a.m. Pre-Homecoming Memorial Service will be held at Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. The guest messenger will be the Rev. Valentino Bryant, choir and congregation of Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton.

There will be an Appreciation/Benefit Program for Dr. L.D. Melvin on Sunday, July 30, at Union Grove Church of Christ, 716 Lisbon St. Doors will open at 3 p.m and the program will start at 4 p.m. The program will include Michael Boykin and The Mighty Voices, Perry Parker & the Jubilaires, The Kingdom Builders, Renewed, Lamanuel Boykin & Company, Wendy Peterson & Unity, Roy & Company, The Blues Sisters, and many more. On Wednesday, Aug. 2-4, at 7:30 p.m. Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 9030 Harnett-Dunn Hwy, Dunn, will hold their Annual Revival. The guest revivalists are: The Rev. Willie McLeod of Johnson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Benson. Music will be rendered by Mt. Zion male chorus and Good News Revival Church, Dunn.

Minister Alease McLeod of Bible Way Church, Linden. Music will be rendered by Sampson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Dunn, and Bible Way Church choir. Friday night closure with the Rev. Willie McLeod, music rendered by Johnson Chapel choir of Benson and Littlefield Missionary Baptist choir of Newton Grove.

On Friday, Aug. 4-5 at 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton, will collect donated backpacks and school supplies to benefit children in Sampson County and Clinton City School districts and surrounding communities who may need of school supplies for the upcoming 2017-18 school year. On Sunday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. Annual Family and Friend’s Day will be held at The New Church of Christ, Faison. The guest messenger will be Apostle Perry Ashford, choir and congregation of New Vision Christian Church, Clinton. Dinner will be served following the morning service in the fellowship hall. There will be different activities for the children and adults.

On Sunday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. Roseville Missionary Baptist Church, Harrell, will celebrate their Pastoral Anniversary for the Rev. Rodney Hansley. The guest messenger will be the Rev. William Evans Sr. of Durham. At 3 p.m. the guest for the evening will be the Rev. James Faison III, choir and congregation of Byrd’s Chapel Church, Rose Hill. Dinner will be served following morning service.

On Sunday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. Deacons and Trustee’s Day, will be held during morning service at Snowhill Missionary Baptist Church, Roseboro. Music render by the male chorus.

On Sunday, Aug. 6, at 11:15 a.m. Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton will celebrate their pastor, the Rev. Ray Bolton and First Lady Evangelist Phyllis Bolton’s 14th Pastoral Anniversary. The guest messenger will be Apostle Leroy Hargett of Life Changers Community Church International. Music rendered by Ram in the Bush Church choir.
