August is here and we at the Chamber are hitting the ground running for our fall season. August for many is the “end” of summer and the beginning of our busy season. We have Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas up ahead and we are so excited to see our small town come alive again with events such as the Street Fair, Small Business Saturday, and Christmas parades.

We are kicking off our August with business after hours tonight. Come on over to Select Bank and Trust for fun, food, and giveaways. They are located at 111 Northeast Blvd. in Clinton. This is a great opportunity for our Chamber members to gather together in support of another business and to network together. Bring your business cards and watch how the Chamber works for you.

The Sampson County Arts Council is holding a dedication ceremony for their new Carriage House Studio on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at 709 College St., Clinton. This will be an evening full of fun and networking with some of Sampson Counties finest. After the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony there will be an art show and reception featuring the art of Mica Joy Eanes. Her Lost In Wonderland art will bring you back to your most precious childhood memories. Join us for a night of laughter and bring your business card to let the Chamber work for you.

We want all of our community members, not just Chamber members to stay involved in the community and to support our local businesses and business men and women. We encourage you to stay updated with what we have going on at the Chamber. For more information you can contact us at 910-592-6177, email us at [email protected], or find us online at www.clintonsampsonchamber.org.
