Those of you who were at the State Fair or were watching our local football teams sweat on the gridirons or were tired and didn’t want to clean up to come see “The Odd Couple, Female Version” at the Sampson Community Theater have only three more chances to enjoy this mature comedy written by Neil Simon, a master of comedy, who brought this play to Broadway in 1988.
Make your plans to attend this show at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, Saturday, Oct. 28 or at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29 and be ready to laugh as Felicia Buczynski, Erica Miller, Lisa Cain, Gretta Steffens, Janet Rawls and Lila Maxwell engage you in a game of Trivial Pursuit while Kirk Hudson and Roger Gonzales destroy the King’s English as the Constazuela brothers. Angela Martin held auditions for “ELF, Jr.” and had a large number to audition for about 30 roles. She will have three groups performing. One group will act in all six shows and the other two groups will perform in three shows each on the first two weekends of December.
Dr. L.J. Carr will hold auditions for “Beauty and The Beast” on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 10 a.m.; Sunday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. There are roles for ages 5 to adult for this show which will be performed Thursday, Jan. 25 through Sunday, Feb. 4, for a total of eight shows. The rights have been secured.
