Arrests

• Aug. 17 — William J. House, 30, of 160 Sunny Lane, Godwin, was charged with one count of trespassing. No bond set; court date is Sept. 10.

• Aug. 17 — Matthew J. Moore, 22, of 130 W. Sixth St. Garland, was charged with one count of simple possession of a Scheduled II controlled substance. No bond reported; court date is Sept. 30

• Aug. 17 — Rachel D. Ahlers, 44, of 520 N. Ingold Ave., Garland, was charged with one count of simple possession of a Scheduled II controlled substance. No bond reported; court date is Sept. 30.

• Aug. 18 — Christopher D. Evans, 25, of 134 Evans and McKee Lane, Bladenboro, was charged with one count of breaking or entering; one count of communicating threats; and one count of injury to real property. No bond set; court date is Sept. 14.

• Aug. 18 — Jeffrey V. Hunter, 36, of 2411 Hunter Road, Clinton, was charged with three counts of fraud through worthless checks. Bond set at $1,500; court date is Sept. 15.

• Aug. 18 — Dorenan H. Copeland, 39, of 3864 W. Avenue, Greensboro, was charged with one count of communicating threats. Bond set at $500; court date is Oct. 1.

Incidents/investigations

• Aug. 14 —Alejandro Jimenez of Pikeville, Rosario Cruz of Dudley, and Margarita Juan were the victims of larceny from a motor vehicle which occurred on Timothy Road. According to reports, items were stolen from the vehicle including money, two cell phones and one gold necklace. The value of the items are $780 and the case was closed because all leads have been exhausted.

• Aug. 17 — Dalia O. Sanchez of Wallace was the victim of vandalism which occurred at Rowan Creek Lane. A suspect broke windows out of a car and damaged the rear of the car. The value of the damage is $800 and the case was closed because all leads have been exhausted.

• Aug. 17 — Johnny P. Brewer of Clinton was the victim of robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping which occurred at the victims home on Brewer Lane, Clinton. The suspect stole $1,200. The case is under investigation.

• Aug. 17 — Gerladine Hicks of Harrells was the victim of burglary – forcible entry which occurred at his home on Hoover Road. The incident occurred after a brick was thrown into a bedroom window. The items stolen included jewelry, a silver class ring and headphones. According to reports, the value of the stolen items and the damage is $1,550. The case is under investigation.

• Aug. 17 — The United States Post Office in Roseboro and The Fayetteville Observer reported a traffic incident. According to reports, the incident occurred when a vehicle struck a cement planter and two newspapers vending machines. The value of the damage is $400 and the case is closed since leads have been exhausted.

• Aug. 18 — Seth A. Hall and Julie V. Moore of Dunn was the victim of a burglary which occurred at the victim’s home on Elite Lane, Dunn. The items stolen included cash, a handgun, two gaming systems, cell phone, vehicles keys, two flat screen televisions, and credit/debit cards. The value of the items were $4,005. The case is under investigation.

• Aug. 18 — Rebecca C. Andrews of Creedmoor was the victim of larceny which occurred at Smithfields Chicken and Barbecue on Dunn Highway. An Apple iPhone 6 and case was stolen. The value of the property is $700. The case is now closed because all leads have been exhausted.

• Aug. 18 — Donald Pope of Dunn was the victim of larceny which occurred at the victims home on North Spring Branch Road in Dunn. U.S. currency with a value of $1,080 was stolen. The incident is under investigation.

• Aug. 18 — Kevin L. Jernigan of Dunn was the victim of burglary which occurred at the victim’s home on Duncan Earl Lane. a 9mm semiautomatic handgun and a chainsaw was stolen. The value of the property is $690. The case is under investigation.
