Arrests

• May 1 — Joshua Childress, 27, of 10941 Old Mintz Hwy., Garland, was charged with communicating threats and harassing phone calls. No bond was set; court date is May 26.

• May 1 — Lester Dvonne Elkins, 54, of 39 Clif Lane, Clinton, was charged with trespassing. Written promise; court date is May 26.

• May 1 — Bonnie Gay Lunsford, 68, of 39 Clif Lane, Clinton, was charged with trespassing. Written promise; court date is May 26.

• May 1 — Cody Duane Strickland, 25, of 130 Mandolin Lane, Autryville, was charged with burglary — breaking and entering; and larceny after breaking and entering. Bond was set at $4,500; court date is May 8.

• May 3 —Chateva Lanea Jones, 34, of 98 Sunshine Lane, Clinton, was charged with failure to return rental property. Bond was set at $500; court date is May 21.

• May 3 —Richard Carl Welter Jr., 48, of 125 Reagan Lane, Autryville, was charged with trespassing. Written promise; court date is June 1.

• May 3 — David Hardee, 28, of 507 W. Pinewood St., Roseboro, was charged with communicating threats. Written promise; court date is May 28.

• May 3 — Juan Borja Diaz, 31, of 719 Tyndall Town Road, Clinton, was charged with assault on a female and simple assault. No bond was set; court date is May 26.

Incidents/investigations

• May 1 — H&L Farms of Dunn reported eight truck batteries, valued at about $1,300, stolen from vehicles. Damage to two battery cables was estimated at $150.

• May 1 — Travis Barcomb of Turkey reported a canine, valued at $1,000, kidnapped from his property.

• May 2 — Dwight Register of Clinton reported a TV, cash and assorted jewelry taken from his residence. The jewelry was valued at $1,400, the TV at $500.

• May 2 — Joseph Massengill of Four Oaks was the victim in a theft of an air conditioning unit from a Clinton property. The AC unit was valued at $1,100.

• May 3 — Joseph Fisher of Roseboro reported a 2000 Lincoln LS, valued at $5,000, taken from his yard.

• May 3 — Shirley Staton of Clinton reported the theft of a generator, valued at $1,500, from a camper compartment.
