Brandy Salinas of Midway High School was recently named Teacher of the Month for Sampson County Schools.

For the recognition, Salinas referenced Ephesians 2:10, which says “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

“The amazing things that we teachers get to do are greater than all,” Salinas said. “We watch the students grow from practically babies as freshmen to semi-adults as seniors. We are thrilled to see our students go out into the world, find themselves and create a life on their own.

“As teachers we should be hopeful for a continuing positive path, in which we have encouraged our students to do so,” Salinas said. “I am blessed to receive this recognition and continue to watch the students and staff of MHS do amazing things.
