Barbara Faison was recognized by the Sampson County Board of Commissioners during Monday’s meeting for her more than 30 years of service to the county. Board chairman Billy Lockamy, far right, and Commissioner Albert Kirby presented a plaque to Faison acknowledging her dedicated service. Faison first worked at the local library system before going on to the Sampson Health Department. In all, she served the county from February 1985 to Dec. 31, 2015.
