The blizzard of 2016 interfered with some cast members of “Little Women” getting to rehearsals last week, but the ones who could safely get there did so because the show must go on and they were dedicated.
This play has a long history starting out as novel written by Louisa May Alcott in 1869 which showed the difficulties the March family had during the civil war while their patriarch (father and husband) was serving as a chaplain in the Union army.
In 2005 the musical had 55 previews before opening on Broadway where it had a run of 137 performances and that was followed by a 30-city US National tour beginning in August 2005 in San Diego and ending in July 2006 at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The heroines of the play are the four March sisters overseen by their mother Marmee (Kathy Day, Yvonne Cano). The sisters are Jo March (Emily Tucker, Angela Martin), Amy March (Sarah Day, Isabelle Moore), Beth March (Annabeth Clark, Taylor Blanchard), and Meg March (Savannah Culbreth, Emma Moore).
This show is filled with music and will be ready for your viewing in one week at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6 and at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 6.
Many thanks to the sponsors and the volunteer set builders.
The theater family was saddened last week as we had to say goodbye to Beth Holland, Forest Logan, and Bob Doan. We send condolences to their families and pray that God will console them during this trying time.

Thoughts until next week:
You can find on the outside only what you possess on the inside.
Use the talents you possess, for the woods would be a very silent place if no birds sang except the best.
Woman knows what Man has long forgotten, that the ultimate economic and spiritual unit of any civilization is still the family.
