Chamber busy over last two months

By Kaitlin Norris - Contributing columnist

Can you believe it is already March? I have been with the Chamber for almost two months now and I have enjoyed every minute of it! I really look forward to getting to know the rest of the community businesses and progressing the Chamber even more.

This past Tuesday I had the opportunity to go visit Enlighten the World Ministries in Clinton for a ribbon cutting and an open house. I was so inspired when I went to visit and had the chance to look around their facility. Pastor Thom Miles explained to me how they partner with organizations such as the Red Cross and many more to help the community and the people in need. They had food, clothes, and much more to help this community. I encourage everyone to check them out and see what you can do to help the ones in need.

Do not forget to sign up for the Sampson County Super Sprint Triathlon. It is set for Saturday, March 19. An event like this really gets the community involved and gives us the chance to show off our Sampson County talents. After the event our stores and restaurants will be filling up quickly. Businesses get ready for a fun filled Saturday, lets show them what Sampson County is all about.

Congratulations to our Member of the Week, Evans Catering. They have been in business for over 30 years. After meeting Mrs. Ginny I know that she would be a delight to work with. They handle all sorts of events, so give them a call for your next event!

I am going to be focusing on getting the community more involved and advancing the chamber in the coming year, so I encourage you to give me a call and let’s talk about what the Chamber of Commerce can do for you and your business!
