Sampson County Sheriff’s authorities are investigating a robbery that reportedly occurred Monday morning, in which a suspect demanded money and gave the impression she had a firearm, according to reports.

The robbery was reported moments after 1 a.m. Monday at Han-Dee Hugo’s, located at 19 N. Ingold Ave., Garland.

Reports state that the suspect entered the store, “implied she had a weapon” and ordered the clerk to give her money. The clerk complied with the suspect’s request and, once she had money in hand, the suspect fled the store.

The female was said in preliminary reports to be wearing a white hat, brown jacket and gray hoodie.

Sheriff’s Lt. Marcus Smith said no further information was available and the incident was still under investigation. Anyone with information on the robbery is encouraged to contact the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-592-4141.
