Mary Johnson received the Paderewski Gold Medal from the National Guild of Piano Teachers. Her 10 years of participation at the national and international level met all requirements. Johnson was also runner-up in the solo division at the state finals of the North Carolina Music Association. Johnson is the daughter of Danny and Tina Johnson.
