A investigation by the Durham Police Department has led to the request for access to the Sampson County Landfill.
Staff with Sampson County’s administrative offices issued a statement earlier today that stated they had been advised by officials of Waste Industries that the Durham department requested and received access to their landfill operations located on N.C. 24.
Waste Industries operates Sampson Disposal, Inc., a regional landfill, under a host fee agreement with Sampson County. While the Durham Police Department has requested and received assistance from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office in this matter, any and all inquiries have been directed to the Durham Police Department.
