Sampson Community College and the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce are sharing resources in an effort to produce a new promotional video that would promote Sampson County as well as the many services that the Chamber of Commerce provides to its members.
Janna Bass, executive director of the Chamber, says the Chamber is always looking for ways to reach out to its own community as well as to potential businesses and citizens elsewhere to let them know what the strengths and advantages are in the county and why people should do business in our community. “The Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce is very excited about the new Chamber promotional video taking place due to the support of Sampson Community College and the Small Business Center. Our goal for this video is to showcase the many opportunities the Chamber provides for Sampson County. Our goal is to unveil the new promotional video at the 44th Annual Banquet on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
Cliff Ireland, director of the Small Business Center at Sampson Community College, was the catalyst for this most recent partnership. “SCC is in the process of reinventing its communication efforts as far as electronic media and a large part of that is a huge focus on fresh, informative video production and distribution on our own TV channel here at the college.” Ireland adds, “By collaborating with the Chamber of Commerce’s efforts to seek new members and engage potential businesses with the possibility of locating or relocating here, it helps the college with potential opportunities to train future employees as well so it works for everyone…”
Dan Grubb, the college’s Public Information Officer and television producer has been filming segments for the video for more than a month, including at the Martin Luther King Jr. event held at the Chamber this week. The video is set to debut Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the 44th Annual Chamber Banquet.
