The Chamber strives to promote our members to visitors and within the community. The Chamber office gives thousands of Chamber member referrals each year, giving our members valuable exposure through the Chamber’s website and referrals. However, we want our members to explore all that the Chamber has to offer to ensure they are taking full advantage of their membership. Therefore, we encourage you to join us on either Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. or Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. for “Chamber 101”. This moderated event will discuss some of the leading challenges facing Sampson County as the Chamber strives to serve as the voice for the members fostering a healthy business community and a strong quality of life. This is event is free and open to the public. The audience will also have a chance to ask questions at the end of the event if time permits.

Applications are already coming in for the 2014 Business Showcase taking place on Thursday, Sept. 11. From 5 until 7 p.m., Chamber members are invited to set up a booth-style exhibit to showcase their business to the community and other business partners at the CenturyLink Building in downtown Clinton. Hosted by CenturyLink, we encourage the community to attend this event featuring local businesses, live music, door prizes, delicious hors d’oeuvres and more. Booth space is limited and is filling up quickly. For more information and to apply for a booth space, please visit the website, www.clintonsampsonchamber.org.

Lastly, applications are currently being accepted for the 2014-15 Adult Leadership program. Participants engage in an eight-month program discovering the “behind the scenes” of Sampson County.
