I am looking forward to tonight’s event, “The Latino Market: Outstanding Opportunity,” being held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Sampson Community College.
Moderated by J.W. Simmons, host of “We Should Know,” tonight’s event will focus on a panel comprised of business owners that currently market to the Latino community. These business owners include Gary Wayne Hall from Sessoms Jewelry, Jim Johnston from BB&T, and Dwight Horne from Clinton Appliance & Furniture. Each will share testimonials of what they are doing to advertise to this growing market as well as showcase the benefits they have had.
Latino business owners, including Enrique Coello from Progress Media Company, Eleigio Pena from Compare Foods Supermarket and Matty Lazo from the Hispanic and Latino Affairs Committee, will also be on the panel discussing how local businesses can bridge the gap between cultures and more guidance on how to market to the Latino community.
Come a few minutes early to enjoy a taste of Latino food before we get started with the moderated panel portion of the event. There will be a time for audience question and answer to address specific questions from the audience.
Again, I look forward to their insight about this growing market within Sampson County and their testimonial of how it has impacted their business. I encourage you to join us for tonight’s event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Sampson Community College in room O-140. The goal is for each business owner in attendance to leave with a better understanding on how to market to the Latino Community and the impact it could have on their business.
