Southern Bank announces new local board members
Officials with Southern Bank announced the appointment of new local advisory board members in Sampson County, including Michael Edwards, Brenda Warren, Steve Bass, Ralph Carter Jr., Robert Alan Fann and James Paul “Jimmy” Burch.
“We are excited to be able to expand our Advisory Board into Sampson County and are honored to partner with this distinguished group of business and community leaders in our efforts to meet the banking needs of our customers in this very important market,” stated Rex Moody, Clinton City Executive.
Edwards is the president/owner of Tires Incorporated of Clinton, where he currently resides. He has owned and operated the company since 2006.
Bass is the owner/secretary of Clinton Drug Company, located in Clinton, where he currently resides. He has owned and operated the company since 1993.
Warren is the recently retired executive director for the Sampson Regional Medical Center Foundation, as well as a retiree from the Sampson County School System where she served for 31 years as a teacher and principal. She currently resides in Newton Grove.
Carter is the president/owner of Carter Farms, Inc., located between Garland and Elizabethtown, a blueberry farming corporation that was formed in 2002. He currently resides in White Lake.
Fann is part-owner of Fann Farms, Inc., located in the Salemburg area, where he currently resides. Fann Farms, Inc. is a longtime row-crop farming operation.
Burch is a managing member of Burch Farms, LLC, located in the Faison area, where he currently resides. Burch Farms is a longtime sweet potato and produce operation.
