First and foremost, we send our thoughts and prayers to the communities up north that were hit extremely hard with Winter Storm Jonas. While we know most were wishing for a winter wonderland, we were blessed to only get the outskirt of the storm that has claimed too many lives. With that being said, we hope everyone enjoyed their day off and kept warm.

Join us tonight for our January Business After Hours hosted by the Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center, the Sampson County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Evans Catering, and Party Perfect Rentals. It is the perfect time to kick back and celebrate a long work week almost being over! If you have not already, this is the perfect opportunity to meet the Sampson County Convention and Visitors Bureau Director, Sheila Barefoot, as well as myself. We look forward to seeing you all!

What a week it has been here at the Chamber! I had the wonderful opportunity to speak at the Rotary Meeting on Monday. They made me feel right at home while I discussed Chamber topics and my goals for the coming years. Making someone feel at home is one thing that this community does so well at. Whether they have been here for years, or they are new to the community, it never fails to amaze me just how helpful and welcoming my community is. Thank you Rotarians!

After speaking to the Rotary on Monday, I had the opportunity to then speak with J.W. Simmons, the talk show host of “We Should Know.” I had the honor to talk about topics that are passionate to me about involving the Chamber in more Economic Development opportunities, how millennial’s really can help take your business to the next level, and my goals for the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce in the coming years. I want to take advantage of the opportunities that I see for growth in not only the Chamber but in this community. Using resources, technology, and strategic planning methods will definitely help take us to the next level. Focusing on the core values of the Chamber and really getting more businesses involved in not only Clinton but the surrounding areas will really make a difference in the next year. I could not be more excited to have this opportunity and there is not a better county or community to help achieve this goal.

Please join us to celebrate the Member of the Week, The Ashford Inn, Monday, Feb. 1 at 10:30am. They are located at 615 College Street in Clinton.

For any information about the Chamber or the events and opportunities that we offer I encourage you to contact us at 910-592-6177, visit us at 414 Warsaw Road, Clinton, or email us at [email protected].
