John Formica, the “Ex-Disney Guy” and America’s customer experience coach, was at Sampson Community College this past Wednesday, April 23. Many business owners attended the informative seminar on “Making Marketing Magical.” The Ex-Disney executive shared with us some of the key elements for business success.


In partnership with the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Center at Sampson Community College, this seminar was designed specifically for business owners, professionals, and managers. Overall, the program is designed to demonstrate to local business leaders the secrets of how to create a Disney-like customer experience culture in their business.


“For those who want to build their business/organization with extraordinary customer service do not want to miss this series,” says Cliff Ireland, director of the Small Business Center. “Mr. Formica is an extremely knowledgeable presenter and attendees will leave each seminar energized, challenged, empowered and inspired. He knows about business and it shows.”

Throughout the year, the Chamber partners with the Small Business Center in over 20 educational opportunities. The planning has begun for the next educational opportunity on “Marketing your Business to the Latino Market.” This event will be in June filled with a panel of American business owners that currently market to the Latino community to share the impact the Latino community has had on their business. The seminar will continue when the panel switches to a variety of successful Latino business owners as they take the platform to share how businesses can continue to market to the Latino community and what culture differences to keep in mind. We are looking forward to this seminar and much more information is to come.
