Can you believe it is already time for school to kick back into gear? That means the middle of August is among us and summer is coming to an end. Although this is sad to think about, I also know a lot of people who are ready for some cooler weather! With the cooler weather you will start to see Sampson County hitting the streets of downtown Clinton, restaurants around the county and hopefully filling up our local stores.

Please do not forget about Small Business Saturday this year on Nov. 26. Small Business Saturday gives our local businesses the opportunity to show the community what they have to offer, and to share their passions. The Chamber encourages the community to always shop local first and foremost, however we really want to encourage the community to participate and get involved in this year’s Small Business Saturday!

Join us this coming Monday at the Chamber of Commerce to support and show some love to Lamar Advertising from Elizabethtown as they receive the Chamber’s Member of the Week! We will have it at 10:30 a.m. right here at the Chamber, 414 Warsaw Road.

Cycle NC will be here before we know it! This event will bring over 1,200 tourists to our community. This is the week for all businesses in our community to get involved and welcome these cyclists to the greatest county in North Carolina. We will have shuttle buses transporting our guests to local businesses, Alive After 5 will have two bands playing that night, and we will have tethered hot air balloon rides! It will be the event of the year and we hope the community really gets involved. For ways to show your support or to volunteer contact the Convention and Visitors Bureau the Chamber of Commerce!

The Chamber has a lot of events going on this fall. This is the perfect time for the community to get involved and to see what being a part of the Chamber is really all about! Contact us today for any information regarding these events or what the Chamber can do for you. You can reach us at 910-592-6177 or through email at [email protected].
