With summer break right around the corner, families now have more free time with their children to take a vacation, relax at the pool or just explore their community. Because most summer activities are outdoors and require traveling, it is helpful to know what features on your phone can help you plan all aspects of your next adventure and add to your enjoyment while you’re on the road.

According to a recent U.S. Cellular survey, 68 percent of smartphone owners used their smartphone to assist them while traveling.

Knowing how to use your smartphone to book flights, download guidebooks, navigate a new city or stay entertained during a long car ride can greatly enhance and simplify life, which is why U.S. Cellular wants to show Clinton residents the tips and tricks of using their devices to the fullest at an upcoming device workshop.

Over the next few Saturdays — May 9, 16, 23, and 30 — at 9 a.m. at 360 Northeast Blvd. in Clinton, U.S. Cellular is offering a free device workshop where current or potential smartphone users can ask questions and learn about any device they are interested in. The workshop is open to everyone, and you don’t have to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend.
