What an exciting week within the Clinton-Sampson Chamber of Commerce office and throughout Sampson County.

This Friday, Sept. 22, marks the first day of fall and while I enjoy all of the seasons North Carolina has to offer, I must say, autumn is my favorite. I enjoy the change in the weather, the change in color in the leaves on the trees and in the scenery. As with each day in autumn filled with change, growth, and opportunity, this week has been filled with opportunities to network, economic growth, and of course, as every day holds, opportunities to grow and learn.

The Chamber was honored to be a part of Star Communications ribbing cutting celebration of their newly renovated office, almost one year after Hurricane Matthew brought destruction to most of our community, but especially to Star’s 421 office. We were honored to see so many community members come together to celebrate a business that has been apart of this town for many many years. Us here at the Chamber is so appreciative for all of the support that Star provides for us, and we know they provide a lot of support for all of Sampson County. Congratulations to Star Communications!

We are in the kick-off stages of planning the 2017 Small Business Saturday that will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, the day after Black Friday. This day means so much to all of our small businesses here in Sampson County. This is your chance as a community to show your support to them by spending your dollars locally and investing back into our economy here in Sampson County. We encourage you to come out on this day with us and show our businesses your support!

Lastly, I encourage you to get involved with the Chamber of Commerce. As an individual or business member, take advantage of the opportunities to network, advertise, attend educational seminars, and more. We are over 400 members strong and continuing to grow. Give us a call at 910-592-6177 and let us be a part of your business or organization today.
