Local dealership offers thanks to responders

Sampson County’s first responders were treated to a luncheon last week by Deacon Jones.


Deacon Jones Automotive of Clinton wanted to do something special for the first responders of Sampson County.

Employing Southern Smoke BBQ of Garland, the car dealership honored all of Sampson County’s first responders with and appreciation luncheon on Sept. 14.

Deemed a huge success, the event fed 150 employees of the Sampson County First Responders group. Deacon Jones’ general manager, Scott McLeod, voiced his appreciation for the luncheon by saying

“We at Deacon Jones know how important our first responders are, and were honored to be the sponsors of the luncheon,” Scott McLeod, general manager of Deacon Jones, said. ” McLeod, along with Southern Smoke BBQ, stepped in and helped by passing out BBQ sandwiches and other items to the group.
